Can I have both a Lion AND a Snow Leopard Time Machine backup on one drive?

Hey all,

I've got a Mac Mini running Lion, and a Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard (I do not want to upgrade it to Lion). I want to use Time Machine on both, and I was wondering if I'm able to use one hard drive for both macs, since they are two different operating systems. Currently, I have Time Machine already setup and started on my Mini. I haven't set it up on the Macbook yet.

Can I do this without disrupting the backup data for either system?

Many thanks!

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), 2.26GHz, 5GB RAM, 500GB HDD
