Q: bought new ipod to replace a previous one, and it doesn't show in itunes

I just bought a new ipod shuffle today, to replace one that doesn't work anymore, and the new one doesn't show in my itunes, which is the updated one. Please help! Thanks

    Did you try any of the suggestions from the artlcle (TS3572)?  Do you use a Mac or Windows PC, and what version of OS?

     

    If you have not already since having this problem, shut down (power off) the computer.  Use this procedure to reset the shuffle

    Disconnect all USB devices (including any USB hub) from computer, in case there is some USB device conflict happening.  Connect only standard keyboard and mouse.  Start up computer.  Run iTunes.  Connect shuffle to a direct USB port.
