White iphone 4s vs. the black iphone 4s
Why does the white iphone 4s have two bars at the top next to the front camera, when the black iphone 4s only has one bar?

They are identical. The top bar is just more noticeable on the White Front Screen. The bar is the screen port to the ambient light and proximity sensors. Senses surrounding light intensity to adjust LCD screen light and the other usually your face/ear when on a call turning screen LCD light off. The lower bar is the mesh covered opening to the earpiece speaker.
