My Time Machine interferes with the working of my MacBook. When it is backing up, which it always seems to be doing, everything else either slows right down or grinds to a halt.
I do not need it to back up every hour - is there any way of stopping it being so frequent. I am so sick of seeing that little rainbow wheel when I am trying to work ...

Hi - thanks for the response. So far I cannot seem to get any help that works. It seem that TM takes too long to backup ... it seems to take a very long time to look for and prepare back up before it even backs up.
When I have looked at the answers to a slow TM backup on this forum they do not help as most of them seem to be aimed at people who are more computer literate them I am.
What I would like are a few answers to try - simply explained.
I think I may not be the only one 🙂
