I lost my ipad. Anyway to trace it back?

Did you register the iPad with Find My...in iCloud? If the iPad is not connected to the internet it will not show up even if you did that. Also if someone finds and wipes it completely, restores to factory settings and removes the ownership information then it will not show or be traced.

Did you register with the insurance company that it was lost?
