Ipad 2 won't turn on, shows charging when not plugged in

As described in the title, The iPad 2 won't turn on.

A restart doesn't work, the screen displays the Charging Logo for a few seconds. (Even when not plugged in!!)

I have tried chargin for a few hours and the charging logo is still on a very low red.

I hope someone can help with this problem.
