Having trouble migrating iPhoto to a new Mac from an old one.

Hi. I am moving all of my information from my previous Macbook to a new one via an external hard drive. I have moved everything successfully except iPhoto. I have copied the application and the iPhoto library onto the ext. drive, but iPhoto will not open (it crashes after the icon bounces once), or give me any options. I have tried holding alt/option while launching the application, but the menu does not appear. The source machine's copy of iPhoto is updated completely, and both machines are running 10.6.8 Snow Leopard. Here is what I see when attempting to launch iPhoto.
