No, i came to this website for help as i cant install the latest update of itunes, i never said i used itunes on here did i?

no help from this website with my issue, so i phoned up tech support, they said they only help mac users, not windows,

i meant download a working version of itunes off the website instead of the new one as it doesnt work, not use itunes on the website.

You seemed to be trying to when you wrote, "your daft website wont let us use an older version of iTunes".

iTunes support (both Mac and Windows) is email only.

What exactly is your issue?

You cannot install iTunes 10.6.3?

What happens? Any messages?

Thats what me and the guy on the phone thought, he tried tking

Me through it, he then said, actually, there is only

Support for mac users on the site aswell, as he was trying to direct me to email support aswell, though he then realised that gettin support on the apple express is now just for mac too

I cant complete the install of iTunes 10.6.3, no.

As cant many other windows 7 users.

But it does install so much that its useable, but doesnt fully install and doesnt complete mobile device application at all, so i cant sync or even connecty iPhone to itunes.

The message reads pretty much the same as this one posted earlier

"The installer encountered errors before iTunes could be configured

Errors occurred during installation. Your system has not been modified"

Im guessing a new itunes would fix it, but this ine

Only just came out, hoping apple know and are trying to

Push out another update but i dont know, the guy on tech support wasnt aware of my issue either but he seemed like all he cared about was mac anyway, even when we both discovered that te website cant even help me anymore lol.

Just did everything i could with both articles, then uninstalled all apple programs on my laptop then re downloaded iTunes completely and it installed fine, but now i have this again when i plug my phone in...

"iTunes requires a newer version of apple mobile device support. Please uninstall both apple mobile device support and iTunes. then install iTunes again."

Please bare in mind that i just did that.

any help on this now would be great too 😟

Hey all <smile>

I'm not allowed to say that I work for Mapple (lol) or that I'm on the "105" support team (eye-zero-sierra) (winky, winky) devices..... but I can say that I am an A plus certified MCSE.........

Had the same issue when I tried to update Itunes from 10.6.1.7 to 10.6.3.25.

Itunes would open just fine........ got to the a newer version is available message just fine.... but then when I choose to go ahead with the download nothing would happen.

First I ran through my normal process of running Disk clean up (Windows built in), then cleared out the cached files for Internet Explorer using control panel with I.E. closed. (the only reason I cleaned out I.E. in this case is so that CHKDSK goes faster)

Then running CHKDSK (run as administrator) which came up with absolutely no problems detected so I did not have to run with the /f switch.

Then manually emptied my "temp" folder. (please see web link below for more info)

But still had the same issue.

Now there IS definitely a specific procedure (a more through way that you have to uninstall Itunes)

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1926

(Search HT1926 at main site incase URL gets blocked out)

>>>>>But I figured if I was going to have to do the whole process I may as well just do a manual reinstall right from the web site..... as if Itunes was not on my system yet.<<<<<

Fortunately that worked great for me <smile>

I just built this brand new TOP OF THE LINE (oh yea) system with an OEM version of Windows Professional 64 bit (I'm a gamer and into I.T. so I need a really high end system. So I knew it wasn't my tower.

But your results may vary ....... Windows is a fantastic operating system .... but about fifty percent of what supplements my other three full trades is whoever is sitting at the keyboard and how much garbage they pull down from the web; how many changes have been allowed.

Please remember to first have a current data backup if you do have to run through the process of a complete uninstall and reinstall of Itunes.

Love Apple also; we have seven Mapple phones (hehehe) on two family plans..... I can't wait for the five (probably will be called something else).

Also my system always has current critical updates.
