You can't: iCloud does not provide general file storage in the manner of the now defunct MobileMe iDisk.
You will need to look for a third-party solution: this page examines some options -
Wow, the simplest most basic functions are now defunct? I may have to consider switching to Windows 8 and dumping all my Apple products. This seems very stupid to me for anyone that actually organizes their work.

iCloud is not a "new and improved MobileMe" - it's a different product with a different mission. Apple seems to have decided not to compete with Dropbox and Sugarsync.
I like Dropbox- very easy to use and collaborate. When that is full I also use Box- not as easy a folder structure but like the fact you can see both in the folder hierarchy alongside my documents etc. must admit found icloud very confusing at first but thansk to all for the drag n drop tips to create folders 🙂
