Q: Transfer itunes library??

My girlfreind currently has all of our apple products on her computer. So for me to put new stuff on my ipod classic I have to always use her computer for the itunes library. I tried plugging it into my new computer and itunes and because its new and empty it wants to sync my ipod clean. How do I get all my songs on my ipod on to my new computer/itunes library without losing everything?

iPod classic, Windows 7

Your iPod is designed to sync with only one iTunes library at a time.  It will recognize the iTunes library on the PC as a new library.  If you sync the iPod with this new library, all content will be erased from the iPod and replaced with what is in the new library.  So what you will want to do is copy everything from the iPod to your new iTunes library on your PC first.
