Q: Former Mobil Me User Unable to Collect Mail in Lion
I'm a refugee from Mobile Me who has just upgraded from 10.6.8 to 10.7.4. When my computer-based Mac Mail program stopped collecting mail on Sunday (it still sends mail without issue) I researched suggestions on a fix without a success. Today I upgraded to Lion and I'm still unable to collect mail through Mac Mail. I have opened an iCloud account and can access my mail through the web-based program, and can also access my mail through my iPhone. But Mac Mail on my computer won't collect mail. I had assumed that the install would automatically configure my settings. I've tried checking and unchecking SSL and assigned ports 993 and 995; I've changed my account email addresses from @mac.com to @me.com (even though I hate @me.com) but nothing seems to work.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be greatly appreciative.
