Former Mobil Me User Unable to Collect Mail in Lion

I'm a refugee from Mobile Me who has just upgraded from 10.6.8 to 10.7.4. When my computer-based Mac Mail program stopped collecting mail on Sunday (it still sends mail without issue) I researched suggestions on a fix without a success. Today I upgraded to Lion and I'm still unable to collect mail through Mac Mail. I have opened an iCloud account and can access my mail through the web-based program, and can also access my mail through my iPhone. But Mac Mail on my computer won't collect mail. I had assumed that the install would automatically configure my settings. I've tried checking and unchecking SSL and assigned ports 993 and 995; I've changed my account email addresses from @mac.com to @me.com (even though I hate @me.com) but nothing seems to work.


If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be greatly appreciative.

GLEN - I'll give part of this a try. My MME account was deleted when I installed Lion. When I installed Lion, it converted the MME account to an iCloud POP account, which isn't collecting mail. I then went into System Preferences iCloud and asked it to synch my mail. This seems to have resulted in the creation of an iCloud IMAP account. This also isn't collecting mail. So I now have two accounts, one iCloud POP, and the other iCloud POP, both set to SSL Port 993, and neither of which collect mail.


Once iCloud has finished synching calendars, I'll sign out of iCloud, sign back in, reboot my computer, say a prayer, and see if it works.
