The indicator light on my new aluminum bluetooth keyboard comes on for a few seconds, then goes off. By repreatedly pressing the on/off button, I can finally get my Macbook Pro to see it, but it won't pair with it, and the light on the kb never blinks to indicate it's in discover mode. Any ideas?

My standard suggestion (which frequently works) is to:
1. Reset the SMC
2. Reset the PRAM.

Just got it. Sorry, but I forgot that I paired the keyboard with my iPad a while back. Once I told it to forget that pairing, I was able to connect it to my laptop with no problem. Thanks again -
Thank you for posting this! I was able to solve a half-day problem when I realized my son had probably used my keyboard with his iPad and not "forgotten" the pairing. Ugh!

Thank you so very much. Have spent a few hours trying to figure this out. A google search brought me into this forum and VOILA. Un linking the devices fixed the problem straight away. Am a very happy keyboard user now that I can type with the Mac wireless keyboard and my Kindle.

Bang on! As per your link, holding down the power key on the keyboard while attempting a link seems to reset the connection and allow entry of a new pairing code. Thanks!
