Creating Apple ID without credit card

Hi,

How can I create an Apple ID to use on Itunes without a credit card? I want to get free apps for my ipod touch.

I don't want to go through giving my serial number just to contact Apple support.

I searched Google for an answer, and many people say an Apple ID can't be made without a credit

card but I know that's not true. Many people already have. The closest I've come to making an Apple ID

is clicking on a free app in Itunes, and then I start making an Apple ID account, I click "none" for payment,

and I enter address/name, and when I click next is says "Please contact Itunes support to complete

this transaction."

I read the Apple support article "HT2534" and it's not valid based on my experience, because

after I click "none" and fill in name/address, it says to contact "Itunes support" as mentioned above.

I won't tether my credit card information to my serial number and iPod because I want to read pdf

files on my iPod with privacy.

When I want to buy apps, I already have an iTunes gift card to make payment, but I can't use it

without an Apple ID.

Help.

Thanks for your answer, but I'm afraid it doesn't work. I tried everything you mention - free app, download, apple ID, new account - but when i click "none" for payment and fill in name, address and click next, it says I need to contact Itunes support to complete the transaction. It looks like it worked a few years ago, but not now.

I'm really frustrated about this and am starting to question if I wasted all my money on the ipod.

Sad.

DId you try to update iOS 7.1.2 on your iPhone 5S?

If you did, then this update will resolve their problem.

You need to use the "Redeem" button to get it to show up with "none" just tried it today and it worked.

Hi there,

I have problem to create I-tunes ID, i don't even have the none option on billing address information.

only three payment method (Visa, Master and amex). Please advice how can i make a I-tunes id without this, Because i am in Pakistan and i don't have master, visa or amex.

Please help!

You guyz told that choose the none option but I don't even get the none option. I get only 3 option.

I created the free apple id from the website but when I try to log in my devise Its show some review option and than its get me through the payment process.

please help me...!!

You did not follow the instructions. Maybe you did not create a new account but tried using an email address you previously tried to use. All the info has already been provided in this one discussion topic.

Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before. Make sure you specify a birthdate that results in being at least 13 years old

I made mine without a credit/debit card by creating it in iTunes on a computer.

If you already tried entering credit card information once, then you won't see the 'None' option anymore. The best way then is to create a new Apple ID by choosing a free app first. For step by step instructions you can check this article

*** is wrong with app store, maybe once we want to select for none option but we have to create a new id,, that ***** and worse bugs ever ,, shame for you apple😠

I did everything right and see the none selection but i still cant make free US itunes account

(i live in indonesia) 6 month ago i was able to make and before 6 month ago i was able to make a 3-5 times without any problem

the problem after i press the create button after payment tab, the red box apper : for assistance bla bla bla

and since 6 month ago to now i cant make a single us itunes account please help
