Best software to create e-card deck on Mac Os X 10.4.11 for a complete novice

I am looking to create a downloadable 106 card e-deck. The user must be able to work his way through the deck systematically from front to back. Or draw a card from the deck at random. Cards must enlarge when clicked on to enable reading. Cards must include live hyperlinks and diffenrent pictures on each card.

Being a complete novice. I have absolutely no idea where to start. Which key words to search for. Please advise.

Thank you in advance

The problem is you are trying to create this with an older operating system. The best way to do this is to design a self contained website. http://www.barebones.com/ has a great software called Textwrangler which in its older versions would run on your operating system. Combined with understanding simple HTML you can build your deck to work on any web browser:

http://www.myhtmltutorials.com/ has some good tutorials.

Save each "card" as its own HTML document, and put all the files inside a folder which you just archive with a control-click. This archive can then be distributed to whomever you wish to download it, or you could put those files on a website. The company that gives you internet access typically has some web space set aside. Unless you have many videos, it should be possible to make it on that space. Most offer FTP access, or SFTP access. http://www.rbrowser.com/ offers versions of FTP that are easy to use for free, and http://rsug.itd.umich.edu/software/fugu/ offers SFTP. Ask your internet provider which they use to access their webspace. If you need more, compare webhosts here:
