Can we get a bit more info in order to answer your question correctly?

What operating system (Lion, Snow Leopard, Leopard, XP etc) are you using on your computer that will be used to configure the AirPort Extreme?

Do you have another Apple router serving as your "main" router? If you have another AirPort Extreme, do you have the newer "square" version with round corners or the old "round" version that looks like a dome?

    I am running OSX 10.7.4

The Airport Extreme does not load on the Airport Utility. I have both soft and hard reset the devise. The newer Airport devise works great but my house is stone and I need to extend the range.

The newer Airport Extreme is the square type that is the "main" router the older model I want to use to extend the range is the older model that is round and shaped like a dome. The dome model is the one that does not show up in the utility.

    Thanks, for the info.

We also asked......Do you have another Apple router serving as your "main" router? If you have another AirPort Extreme, do you have the newer "square" version with round corners or the old "round" version that looks like a dome?

The reason that we asked is that The AirPort Extreme can only "extend" the wireless signal from another Apple router.
