Thinking about buy a Mac Pro

I have a Pro Mac G5 and I would like to know if I can use the memory cards and the display card and but them in a Mac Pro.

PowerMac was different PowerPC with different Open Firmware and uses older type and style memory

You would not want to. Mac Pro is Intel and EFI, and assuming you bought 2009 or 2010 model they are going to be a nice upgrade even if you had Quad G5 which was comparable at the time almost to the first Mac Pro (2006) in some geekbench scores.


DDR3 memory prices though are very affordable and supports more memory -
