My mac computer doesn't have safari. I've tried to download it, but each download says to download mac os x 10.7. I attempted that and it still won't download. What is causing this?

I need safari on my computer. I have attempted to download safari. It would not update. I attempted to upgrade from leopard to 10.7, but it would not upgrade.

Apple will want you to update to a newer OS to download Safari. However, you can get an older version of Safari by downloading it from this third-party site. Download the version for your OS. Then, after installing it, open Software Update, and check to see if there is a newer version that is still compatible with 10.5.
