Setting up iCloud Mail on iOS 4.2.1

I'm trying to setup iCloud Mail on an iPod touch running iOS 4.2.1, but the iPod says that imap.me.com is not responding. Are these instructions still correct correct now that MobileMe has been shut down? I assume not.

iPod touch, iOS 4.2

I had the same issue. I just got my emails to work on my iPhone 3g (running iOS 4) by using server details from another support article (support.apple.com/kb/HT4864) instead of the ones given in this article. These addresses include 'mail'. Ie:

IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:

Server name: imap.mail.me.com

SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:

Server name: smtp.mail.me.com

This worked for me. Hopefully it works for you too!
