Hi Guys!

I'm a first time user of iWeb - currently creating my website on my computer (not yet uploaded to a host site) - however I've noticed that some of the new pages I'm creating are not appearing within the SITES folder - does this mean that these pages will appear when I'm finished and ready to upload to a hosting site???

And can someone explain why they aren't appearing - I only have 17 pages, fortunately the pages that aren't appearing are can be linked and I don't want them visible - however, in order to work on the html of these pages - I need to find them in the SITES folder! Please Help!

I'm trying to add a "Zoom/Enlarge" feature to my images - I've tried the Magic Thumb - whereby all you have to do is created you 2 images 1 large & 1 small and insert some HTML code (copy & Paste) onto the index page using text edit save it and it should work - however, the index page is NOT saving the new text I insert. I've also tried Fancy Zoom (same proceedure) but that isn't working either.......

Oh I'd also like to have some form of scrolling text - that one didn't need me to download anything - just modify the text on the index page with html code - again it didn't work

All features have been very clear in where to insert the text -and that you save the page after doing so, but I dunno where I'm going wrong.

You don't add anything to the index.html file. You would add the code to the page-name.html file after publishing. I notice that Magic Thumb requires post editing.

Using an HTML snippet to add code saves you opening the HTML files to add code which you would have to do very time you publish your site.

There's so discussion about zooming here...

it's important that you tell us which template you are using.

if you use photos/albums page template, they are widgets; so copy+paste just won't work.

it'll work with proper method, here is photos page template:

and regular page:

@roddy: iweb html snippet = dead zone

Jul 20, 2012 5:51 PM in response to Roddy

yup, your example still has dead zone of 500px x 500px, you can't put active objects such as hyperlinks (anchors) in/behind the dead zone without interfere with the popup.

@ot, your mouseover example is all the same, have you put a hyperlinks to your empty space in the right side of your mouseover page?

-------------------------

it's easy to copy+paste code, but in iweb you can't get around it's html snippet -iframe- , try again.

one more thing, none of your copy+paste will work in iweb photos page. you need to know iweb's widgets to do so.

I don't see what's wrong with creating a dead zone if you are aware of the fact that its there and don't put any anchors in it. Its a lot easier than adding code post publishing as we have to do since Apple didn't see fit to allow code injection.

Its up to the individual to decide if they want to use these features. I can't see that something like this would cause too much consternation on the average web page...

Hello Roddy,

Sorry for delay in acknowledging your response to my issue. Been away but now I'm back still facing the same issue and more, now I've upgraded to SNOW LEOPARD my comp is a slug!

Anyhoo - I mentioned incorrectly that I was trying to add code to the html INDEX page - it was as you said the html page - however, it did not work - I haven't tried to see if upgrading my comp will make a difference.
