Q: will not read usb device, sony card reader

Have tried attaching Sony m2 card reader via usb and is not recognised, dont know if I can do somrthing to prompt it or if the device is uncopatable or what the problem is.

PowerBook, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

    First, try a different USB port. If that doesn't help, confim that the reader still works by trying it on a desktop computer, either Mac or PC.

     

    If it works on a different computer, try some other USb device on your PowerBook to make sure the port in working. If it works with other devices, you may need to put a powered USB hub between the reader and the computer to increase the power available to the reader.
