update, publish iweb, 1and1, and filezilla issue

I have updated and published my website using iweb, 1and1 hosting, and filezilla for ftp. Afterwards I was told I could access my website at www.detroittrash.net/detroittrash. I want to get rid of the "/detroittrash" part. I only want "www.detroittrash.net" . How can I do this?

You'll have to contact your hosting provider. I don't see any reason that you couldn't just use "www.detroittrash.net". Maybe they can tell you why. Or is that just for your transferred files?

By the way, when I go to your website, I'm immediately taken to "http://www.detroittrash.net/Detroit_Trash/Home.html" - is it the "Detroit_Trash" that you're trying to get rid of?
