Hello, my macbook desktop is frozen,

Hello, my macbook desktop is frozen, ONLY THE DESKTOP. Everything else works fine.

I logged into my other account on the computer i have, the desktop is fine, i can right click the desktop and it will bring the menu up, however, on the side that i use frequently, i cannot right click on the desktop, NOR can I drag anything to the desktop.

All my software is up to date, I tried booting up in safe mode, I aslo used the force quit and relaunch, restarted computer many times... still nothing...

Also weird about this is that itunes deleted itself earlier today, i had to re-download and install it again. The problem is happening since then.

Finally, i read somewhere I may need to re-boot my comptuer with the lion CD; however, i dont have the CD i downloaded from the app store!

Can someone please help!!
