Is there a way to use an AU plug-in instrument such as Sampletank 2 LE (using, for example, its Omnisynth sample bank), which allows only one instance, to be used as a multi-instrument in Logic or Logic Express 7? In other words, is it possible to simultaneously assign different Omnisynth instruments to different MIDI channels within the Sampletank 2 LE user interface using only one instance of it as an Audio Instrument, and have all of the assigned MIDI channels playback simultaneously?
go to the environment. create new multi instrument and name it e.g. sampletank2 multi....now uncheck all midi channels on the multi so u can use them....
Now instantiate a AU STank on an instr. channel....set the channel and sampletnak to midichannel : ALL
now go to your newly created multi instr. and make sure that under view your have cables selected - now drag the multicable from your new multi over to the audio unit Stank....u set - load some insturments and go to the arrange window and pull up your 16 new stank channels
