My iPod keeps listing the contents of my library while I'm trying to listen to vstuff, how do I get it to stop doing this?

my 7th generation ipod has started doing this.
voice over is definitely OFF
in middle of song it anoounces title, says something like "0201" and then announced something like a podcast title
????
