Q: i forgot my password on my mac and the reset button id disable to be able to log in with my apple id. is their anyway i can log in?

i need help. i locked my imac and forgot my password. i was able to log in before with my itunes account but i disabled it because my kids would log on and reset my password. what do i do? help

    If you have Snow Leopard or early, boot from the DVD that came with your Mac pressing C key and go to Utilities > Password Reset

     

    If you have Lion, boot pressing Command and R keys, go to Utilities > Terminal and write:

     

     

    resetpassword
