Regular MBP, will it really get THAT much hotter/noisier than the Retina?

I do alot of recording and music editing, and i'd hate to get noise from the fans into my recordings. I've read that FireWire devices (Audio Interfaces) causes the processor to get 10 degrees C higher (50 F?), wich means more fan noise, is this still true?

Should i let this be the deciding factor on wether to get the Retina or a regular, or isn't it as bad as they say? Im also reading that people are having trouble with Cubase on the new Retina, and FireWire adapter isn't even out yet.

Anyone with a new regular? Normal use or music editing, doesn't matter, any input on this matter will be highly appreciated! 🙂
