iWeb pre-buying questions.

Before I make a commitment and actually BUY iLife (and iWeb) I need to get one thing straight: Is iWeb really like a website where you can have links and all of that stuff? Or is it more like a blog. Can I add HTML, Javascript, and PHP myself, or is it just something that it does for you?

I'm really struggling to get the answeres straight. Its a pretty straight-forward concern, and I thank you in advance for visiting this post.

Is iWeb
really like a website where you can have links and
all of that stuff?

iWeb is a software program for creating websites. The pages it creates can have links to other pages and files.

Or is it more like a blog.

iWeb includes an elementary blog/diary template.

Can I
add HTML, Javascript, and PHP myself, or is it just
something that it does for you?

iWeb does not allow the addition of custom html or script from within the program. Doing that requires you to edit the pages produced by iWeb with other software. Republishing from iWeb erases any custom additions.

.Mac does not support php, you need to use another host for that.
