I am able to pair my bose wireless speaker to my Mac but when I try to connect to my Ipad, the ipad is not picking up the speaker as an available device

Press the speaker's BT button and hold for three seconds to allow pairing.

That's what I tried many times, but the Ipad keeps searching but does not seem to detect a device.

Hmmm...

Just to get distance out of the equation, try with the speaker right next to the iPad. Bose support is excellent. If it still doesn't work, give them a call.

Just to play it safe, here are Apple's instructions:

1 Follow the instructions that came with the device to make it discoverable.

2 In Settings, choose General > Bluetooth, and turn Bluetooth on.

3 Select the device and, if prompted, enter the passkey or PIN number. See the instructions about the passkey or PIN that came with the device.

Unpair with your Mac before pairing with iPad.

I don't think that that's necessary (although it wouldn't hurt to try). My speaker is paired with my Mac, my iPad and my iPod. I've never unpaired any of the devices and they all function with the speaker.

Older software only have one memory while the newer ones have five.

That fixed my iPad/Bluetooth sync issue. Thanks.
