In Latest iOS, New Events Default to 'Unfiled' Calendar

In the latest iOS 5.1.1 (9B206) the default calendar for new events was changed from the 'Home' calendar to the 'Unfiled' calendar. For most iPhone users, this means 4 additional actions each time a new event is entered into the Calendar application (Scroll down / Select <Calendar> / Select 'Home' calendar / Tap <Done>). This is a very inefficient change, compared to previous versions, where each new event defaulted to the Home calendar. Apparently, one of the engineers thought Apple should not make the calendar choice for us, but then did make the choice of 'Unfiled'. In my opinion, most users use the Home calendar as their main one, so having it be the default one and then being able to choose another when needed, was a much better set up. If Apple does not want to go back to that scenario, then it would be a good idea to at least let the user select a 'Default Calendar' for new event entries in the 'Calendar' section of the iPhone's Settings. I hope they consider this in the next update.

Does anyone know of a way to make new calendar entries on the iPhone default to the Home calendar? I have found none.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.7), iCloud compatibility
