Is there a way to pair a bluetooth Monster iClarity speaker to my macbook pro?

I bought a bluetooth speaker called Monster iClarity and it works magically with my iPhone, but I tried pairing it with my macbook, and won't. Is there a way to get it to work? Has anyone else tried? It would so great to this pair to work together.

I turned on the speaker. Pressed the button for a couple of seconds till the light flashed red and blue meaning it was attempting to pair, set up the blue tooth devices drop down menu from the top, it paired for a little while, then shut off, prompting that the macbook didn't support the speaker. I know the speaker only specified iDevices but was wondering if the I could bypass that and get it work with my macbook pro.
