create .pdf a4

Hello

for some unknown reason my new Imac does only create .pdf with the format Letter US. My printers all only do A4 and similar. Where can I change preferences for it to create .pdfs of European Standard A4?

Mac OS X (10.7.4), 12GB

Hello

the original document (Word) is in the desired size A4. The output from creating the .pdf is in Letter US. Neither in the page settings nore in the printing menu, can the Letter US be changed into something else. The only option is Letter US.

Sounds strange I know.

I have compared the settigs in Gen. Prefs, the Word settings and the pinting settings between all our Macs (all in 10.7.4). Did not help. Everything seems cool.

Hi Peter,

From what you said, I undersrtand that you have more than one Mac and more than one printer. Do you have the same problem on all your Macs or just on one with a specific printer?

If you can change printer does the problem persist? Are you still unable to select another format than Letter US in System Pref and in Word settings?

Go to http://support.apple.com/downloads/

There are a lot of printer drivers updates, you may find what you need. Otherwise, I am afraid you will have to reinstall Lion.

Hi Peter,

As far as I know, documents created in PDF have the page size selected for the printer. Check page size in your printer settings. For this open System Prefs > Printers & Scanners.

The problem is only with the Imac.

Is there a possibility to re install the driver to create .pdf files? or should I re install the OS?
