Q: I can't install Mac OS from CD, help!

Hi,

 

This is what I see after I press option to go to boot manual and select to install from CD.

Anybody know how to solve this problem? My old version is 10.6.8 but it seems to be corrupted. I tried to install 10.6 and got the screen below. If I use a 10.6.3 CD, the system will just keep beeping.

What was the original OS version the Mac shipped with?

If it shipped with 10.6.3 or later, you need to use the grey DVDs that shipped with it.
