When i try to finalize project or export in HD or anything higher then 906x540 it shows an error(-108) or(-51). please help

I had the same problem....Could not export higher than 720p. My brother-inlaw suggested the following.

Export using Quick Time ....then click on "options" and make the following changes.

In Video section.

-Change compression type to "Apple Intermidiate Codec"

-Compressor "HDV 1080p"

In Sound section

-use Apple lossless.

I made thse changes and I was able to output at a higher HD settings.

Error -108 memFullErr Ran out of memory [not enough room in heap zone]

Turn off - TimeMachine usually works - re-try.

Can mean many thing's - My first thought is

• Free Space on Start-Up hard disk. How much ? (other disks do not count)

Error -51 - Don't know - Sorry

I also had gthe "heap Zone" errror. See my previous post for a work around. The error is an iMovie bug and

Apple has not addressed it.

I rebooted

I cleaned the PRAM

I do not have Time Machine running....and I was still getting the error

It appears to be Compression issue when Exporting to 1080p

If you right-click on your Event, see if it gives you the option to Optimize your media. If so, that should fix it.
