Finder.app + Firewall

Hey All,

Question here, does the Finder.app need access to the Internet? The Firewall app says it has access but I'm trying to figure out why it would need it.

Also, if my Mac has malware will programs like Little Snitch see that information or is going out under the guise of an app like Finder? Just trying to understand where malware can hide and how to find it. I'm coming from a PC and I don't think I have any issues but I'm just curious what some signs are. Everything runs fine and from what I'm seeing in Activity Monitor all looks normal when comparing to a MBAir my wife uses. I'm on a MBPro.
