Mac OS XFrom the main screen on the nano, select Settings. There is a setting there that says Repeat. Make sure it is NOT set to One; it should be set to either All or Off.
The other possibility is that you are currently in a playlist, artist list, or other list that only has that ONE song on it, and Repeat is NOT set to Off.
