Best iPhone case?

Have friend that hit a bump on his motorcycle doing 80 mph. His iPhone popped out of the pouch on his handle bars and fell to the pavement. It was then run over by a car. No damage to the iPhone or the case. He has an Otterbox case. My vote goes for Otterbox. Although it is not water proof. BTW, my friend has the Commuter model not the super protective Defender model.

Otter Box is one of the best water tight, shatter proof, cases on the market. I=Even if it costs a litttle more its worth it.

Yes, but does it affect the battery life. Bought new Otter Box and battery runs down twice as fast.

It doesn't affect battery life.

The Otterbox should not affect the battery life. However, it would be worth checking to see if the way the Otterbox is somehow 'accidentaly' pressing the Sleep button. If this is happening then the battery would run down more quickly.

Should I wait till battery is depleted before recharging iPhone4S with IOS 6.1.1 update? Does it ruin the battery to charge it while @ say 60%

You don't have to wait. Whilst it is sometimes a good idea to run the battery down before charging it up again (say once a month), you don't have to always do it. I tend to do whatever fits in with my usage best.
