Can someone tell me what the kernel panic means?

I have recently been reciving these errors for no specific reason in my opinion, it happens generally when i'm running a few lightweight apps like google chrome, skype, mail, iTunes, etc. These have been happening on my new (few weeks old) macbook pro. Right now i'm going to retire my Creative headphones to see if that changes anything.
