I purchased Quicktime Pro for Windows XP and I am having trouble registering it. I can not find a place to enter my registration information. I have downloaded the Quicktime 7 version, but still there is nowhere to register my information...only places to "Buy Quicktime Pro", which I have already done. Any ideas how to get this up and running? Thank you.

I appreciate your response, however, the first one is one that I already tried and it doesn't seem to work. I guess my Windows software is newer than the example. The second link you posted says that it has been archived. I attempted to follow the steps anyhow and I hit a dead end once again. Thank you for taking the time and effort though.
Open QuickTime Player.
Under its Edit menu click Preferences / Registration.
Use copy paste from the email confirmation to enter the name and number.

Glad you got it sorted out and can now start using the Pro version of QuickTime Player.
Too bad that most of the instructions found on the Web are so out of date. QuickTime Player 7 was introduced in April, 2005 and the instructions just can't seem to keep up.
I found this thread after I just purchased qt pro for windows and am having similar problem getting started with it.
I pasted in registration code and it shows the words quick time pro under it, which according to the registration web site, tells me it has "taken"
However when I try to click icon for QT, or load from Start menu, I get nothing that indicates I am have it. in fact, neither way do they open on my desktop
thanks for any advice you can give- you seem to be the QT go to guy.
