Q: how to install a track pad on a different mac

I want to install my track pad on a different mac from the one it was initially installed on, It wont let me as its linked to my other mac

magic track pad, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

A:

Select it in Bluetooth system preference on the old Mac, click the gear and select Disconnect. Then try it with the new Mac.
