what are .cleverfiles?

both DiskWarrior and other utilities found bad, missmatched, or crupted files in

an invisable folder .cleverfiles.


what is this folder and can files be deleated from it?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7)

Your problem, hardware or software, may not be exactly the same as that of the original poster of this older thread, and it can be very confusing for everybody if we try to answer more than one question in each thread, which can also result in you applying the wrong advice to your particular problem.

You're using Disk Drill utility(i'm pretty sure). So it creates this "backup" folder in case you will decide to recover the data you have removed/transfered.

When you choose to remove this software from its preferences it will ask whether you want to keep those files or not. Just click to delete them and your hard drive free space will extend a lot.
