    It sounds useful. Thanks!

However, when we want to transfer our music from iTunes to iPhone, we must avoid the data wiped.

Perfect explanation.  I thought I was losing my mind.  You don't see the menu that one user referenced unless you click on your device.  I did not know that until you explained it.  I don't update my music often but when I have it has just been the drag and drop.  Not sure why they changed it.  At least now I know what to do. Thanks!!!

OKay in regards to this questions - what if I normally sync at home on my iTunes and now I want to sync at work. It's saying I can't sync to two accounts without erasing what I have from my home computer. Help, I'm wanting to get some of my music off of my work computer to put on my iPhone - not purchased through iTunes just off some CD's a coworker let me borrow.

Wait until iTune recognizes your iphone, otherwise you cannot see "summary" tab. I had the same problem. Connect your phone and computer, and then start iTune on your computer. After your iphone is recognized, you will see an "iphone" tab beside "iTunes Store" tab. Click "iphone", you will see "summary" tab.It works for me.Hope this may help you.

Color me dense, but I can't find anything to click on that says, "Sync only checked songs and videos". The songs I have checked are not the ones that get uploaded to my phone - seems totally random.

    Step 1:

File -> "Add File to Library"

    Choose the file.

Check if it is added to the library. You can do this by searching as said above or you can see in the  iTunes Music -> Music folder (if you have selected apporpriately in the Advanced option) in your PC.

    Step 2:

Connect your iPhone to your PC.

Click on "iPhone ^" button next to "iTunes Store" button

Click on "On This iPhone" button

Select Music on the left pane

Choose Recently added in "Autofill Form: * Recently Added ^" at the bottom of the page

Click "Autofill" button at the right bottom and see your file being added to your iPhone.

This two steps process allows to add any file or folder into your iPhone.

    Hope this helps.

    ENJOY

Sometimes, you lost your iTunes library, or your computer crashed and you have to format your computer, but the songs are still on your iPhone, so you wanna copy the songs from iPhone to your iTunes library. In this situation, you can turn to a third-party Coolmuster iPad iPhone iPod to Computer Transfer program for help.

    Hi,

Your reply certainly helped me, thank you.

As an academic with years of experience in developing and working with electronics and computing systems, doing a simple thing like this should be easy.

The problem is that driving a good application is easy if you do it every day, or if you have followed exactly the prescribed route with the right devices, with the correct and updated software, in the right order, and with the appropriate mental focus to arrive at the point where the situation arises.

Reality however can be a bit more messy.

    Thanks again.

Follow this link- http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519. Basically, you need to go into iTunes on your phone, select "more", then select "purchased." Your media should be there. Piece of cake!
