ICON and CONTENTS in Events?

ICON and CONTENTS in Events?

I've suddenly become aware of two folders in my rather large Events Library named ICON and CONTENTS (their emphasis). They appear to be merely representative still frames of each clip in the library. My question is, do I need to keep them or can they be trashed? The footage is derived from a Panasonic P2 camera so I duno, is that why they've showed up like this? I haven't noticed them before. I'm assuming they have something to do with the .bmp files in the Finel Cut Events folder?

Sure. Here you go:

As you can see CONTENTS and ICON were made keywords, hence their presence in the library. It so happens that this matches the index hierarchy of the P2 card. These are cleary thumbnails of every clip on the card but I don't understand how they got imported nor if I need them at all.

Did you drag the contents of the P2 card into the event? Did you use Cmd-Shift-I? What media is on the P2 card? Did you use the camera import function? ICON looks like it's the thumbnails from the P2 card.
