Retina Macbook Pro Battery Life Inquiry

I honestly can't tell if my Retina Macbook Pro's battery is defective or not.

I use the Battery Health App to monitor the power consumption and I notice random power spikes while doing anything. I could be typing in a word doc and the mah usage would spike from like 0.15mah/sec to like 0.60.

Here are my approx battery stats:

Web Browsing: 6-9 hours (mah spikes are random and affect the battery life)

Movies: 5 hours

Constant, Large Downloads: 4 hours

Gaming: 1 hour 40 minutes

Other people have been reporting 2hrs30mins of gaming on battery and 8+ hours of web browsing. Is my battery defective or what? I once pulled 10 hours of web browsing, but I didn't really "browse" per say. I was typing an article for the most part and not visiting any websites, etc.

Are my battery life spans identical to anyone's?

I tried many of the solutions in the other threads to no avail. I also can't exchange my rMBP because the Best Buy I got it from isn't getting an stock for a while.

Batteries get used up at different rates at different times depending on what you are doing and WHAT the computer is doing. The computer does not sit idle all the time. It does different stuff from time to time no matter what you are doing on it.

I'd say your battery is completely normal If not above average. 6-9 hours web browsing, 5 hours if watching movies. And you think your battery may be defective. Yeah defective in a Good Way.

Variables such as surrounding temperature can affect battery life as well. For instance if you are in a particularly warm or particularly cold environment, it could affect not only the energy dissipation of the battery but also the need for the fan. Nonetheless, what you are describing sounds like it is operating within the expected range for the device.
