Q: Can I transfer purchased apps like games over to my iphone 4s from iphone 3s

Just purchased iphone 4s and wanted to transfer my apps that I purchased from itunes, had the iphone3s previously, can I do this?  I have downloaded everything from itunes but the apps are not transferring?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1
