If I reset my iPad, will all my data be deleted?
Hello.
I was wondering if I reset my iPad to the factory setting, will all my game/music data be deleted?
Not the game app, just the levels, equipment, etc.
Thank you.

If you do a restore, everything is erased and set back to factory settings.
All games, apps and data.
Depends. I really don't want to answer that and get in trouble. When I wiped my iPad, and downloaded my games again, some data was saved. If its a server based game where you login to a server of the game maker, then you will not loose your data. If its a game like cut the rope then yes.
Yes. It will all be deleted. But ... if you restore to factory settings and then restore from your backup afterward, all of your app data and game saves will be back in place on the device.
You must have a current backup that contains all of those settings, data and saves. What are you thinking?
sorry i think i should have replied to you not previous person
i have a situation where my ipad ran out of power and switched off. i charged it back up and then when i wen tto open it said something about new software and possibly something about restore in 4 seconds! then it closed down. when re started came up with connect to itunes signal. i tried to connec tto mac for the first time and it said the ipad needs to be restored first.
how will i know if i had been automatically backing up the data on icloud? really not sure if tis was set up or not and have over 100 important notes!
can you help
If I reset it and restore it, will game levels, equipment, etc. be restored?
Like what demo said. Backup to your computer or iCloud before you do it. When you restore the iPad from the backup all your Stuff isn't lost. You will still have that bow staff that cast level 99 mana haha

If you do not consciously know that you were using iCloud, and you seem to not be sure about it, and if you have never connected to your computer to backup, you just have to take your chances now.
I don't think that you have any backup and you have no choice but to restore the iPad - if you ever want to use it again.
If you reset to factory settings, all data will be gone.
Backup before you do that.
From backup yes.
Thank you Laxman25, Demo, and everyone who responded. Very helpful, than you again!
You're Welcome.
