If I reset my iPad, will all my data be deleted?

Hello.

I was wondering if I reset my iPad to the factory setting, will all my game/music data be deleted?

Not the game app, just the levels, equipment, etc.

Thank you.

Yes. It will all be deleted. But ... if you restore to factory settings and then restore from your backup afterward, all of your app data and game saves will be back in place on the device.

You must have a current backup that contains all of those settings, data and saves. What are you thinking?

i have a situation where my ipad ran out of power and switched off. i charged it back up and then when i wen tto open it said something about new software and possibly something about restore in 4 seconds! then it closed down. when re started came up with connect to itunes signal. i tried to connec tto mac for the first time and it said the ipad needs to be restored first.

how will i know if i had been automatically backing up the data on icloud? really not sure if tis was set up or not and have over 100 important notes!

can you help

If you do not consciously know that you were using iCloud, and you seem to not be sure about it, and if you have never connected to your computer to backup, you just have to take your chances now.

I don't think that you have any backup and you have no choice but to restore the iPad - if you ever want to use it again.
