iTunes Match error code 4010

When attempting to upload new songs to iTunes Match, I keep getting error code 4001 or 4001; I can't update my library in iCloud and access my new songs.

I kept trying with the Option fix and eventually it has worked for me now. For anyone not sure what this is:


  1. Go to Store menu
  2. Press Option and Turn Off iTunes Match together
  3. Go back to Store menu and turn on Match as normal

Don't believe necessary but probably best to quit and restart iTunes between steps 2 and 3


Hope this works for you too - I did have to keep doing it (probably about 6 times) before it worked properly.
