After hard drive change, my computer doesn't see Icloud.

I moved to Icloud couple weeks ago. I then backed up my computer and took it in for a new bigger hard drive. When I got the computer back, I transfered all my information. Everything seems to be there but Icloud settings. I have tried to add a new account without deleting the old one as I have read in some of troubleshooting. It doesn't work. As the e-mail address hasn't changed, the computer reminds me I already have an account with the same name, it doesn't let me continue. It looks like I can't edit an existing account. I have to get online to check my mail. What can I do?

iMac (20-inch Mid 2007), Mac OS X (10.6.8)

If you can't get your mail to work on Snow Leopard after June 30, you might want to try one of these approaches

1. Configuring Mail in Snow Leopard

2. Delete your mail account from Mail preferences and set it up again using the Mail Server Information.

Some users have apparently encountered issues using this information in pre-Lion set ups (I haven't), Roger Wilmut has kindly provided instructions for those who find themselves with this problem.

I am somewhat scared to delete my account as I do not want to lose all the information I have accumulated on my server. Is there another way to do it, without deleting mobile me? Thank you for a quick response.

I guess you don't need to delete any accounts to try the set up's suggested.

You can also copy any mail you are concerned about losing to an "On my Mac" folder (option-drag)

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I did delete it and once I installed it again, it started working. It still uses the word mobile me, in its configurations. For some, reason it doesn't let me edit a new set of information. But, it is working. I want to change my This Helped me to this solved my question. Anyway to do that?
