Jul 8, 2012 2:03 PM in response to breinbby Winston Churchill,Welcome to the Apple Community.
I don't suppose it will do any harm to restart it and try another HDMI cable, but I think it's probably the start of a failing graphics component. -
Jul 8, 2012 2:57 PM in response to Winston Churchillby breinb,Thank you, Winston, for your prompt response. I took the device to the Apple Genius Bar, and after hooking it up they couldn't reproduce the problem -- it worked perfectly for them. So I am back to trouble shooting my connections, as well as my network settings, etc. Does anyone make house calls in the West Los Angeles area???? I'm stumped.

Jul 8, 2012 3:37 PM in response to breinbby Winston Churchill,I am 100% sure, it is nothing to do with your network or the content that you are playing. Did you use the same HDMI cable when you took it to the Apple Store to be tested.

Jul 8, 2012 4:03 PM in response to Winston Churchillby breinb,★HelpfulNo, they used their own cable. I am going to get a new HDMI cable and see if that solves the problem. Thanks, Winston for helping me zero in on the problem. Hopefully a new cable wil fix it! Signing off for now.
