Q: Why can't my Mac consistently work wirelessly with my Epson Workforce 610 printer? my kids all have non-apple laptops and never have issues.

I've had this printer for about 48 hours and the other 3 non-apple laptops in our house can use it wirelessly with no issues. My mac has never worked except once for about 15 minutes. I was so excited that it actually worked and then inexplicably it just stopped. I've deleted the printer and re-loaded the software 5 times. Just about to give up. Is there anything obvious I am missing here!?

what brand/model printer and what version of OS X are you running?

Epson Workforce 610 is the printer - Mac OS X v 10.7.3

Read this.

If the printer is a wireless capable printer and it is connecting to a wireless network, make sure it is properly connected to the wireless network first. The printer may have to be connected to the Mac initially via USB.

Yes you may have to connect it to the Mac to get it to work.

Or you could change systems.
