Value of Nvidia 7800GTX 512mb g5 card

there don't appear to be any of these cards on eBay at the moment and I have a few so was wondering the value of them nowadays (I think mac ones used to sell for about £150, $220)? and do they increase the value of a G5 or is it better to sell them separately.

thanks ahead

A used Apple OEM 7800 GT is currently fetching $120-$150.

A used Windows 7800 GTX gets the same.

A used Windows 7800 GT gets 1/3 to 1/2 of the Apple OEM.

A flashed 7800 GTX would always fetch over $200.

If you want to get rid of a G5, put a 7800 GTX in it, but don't expect much for the G5 itself.

Most people don't want the G5 if they are looking for that card.

I see dual core G5's going for the same or less than dual processor G4's here.

G4's have the longevity selling point that G5's don't, and can run the same 10.4x and 10.5x OS versions.....

One good thing about G5's is that the case brings good money at the scrap yard!

thanks! when buying the card for my G5, it was cheaper to buy 5 7800GTX WinPC cards than 1 flashed one, so I currently have 5 flashed cards, with 4 not being used. as I need the money for an MacBook pro for college/uni I figured I may as well sell them, along with my G5 :(

As there are non on eBay UK or US, would this make them more valuable or mean that no one wants them anymore?

thanks again japamac

I think that you would make people happy with a price like that.

As for the X1900, there are new, ready flashed 256 MB cards going for as little as $90......

Sellers of 512 MB versions are asking $200 and up, $260 showing as a current asking price by one, long time "retailer" (it'd be different if he actually wrote the ROM.......) People actually selling cards (read "moving) are selling for $50-$60 less than the lower figure....

It's whatever the market and conscience can bear.

The higher the price, the greater the requirement for service and support, the greater the risk for trouble, bad feedback.....

I find people that feel like they got a "deal" are the happiest, and that, in turn, typically results in lower risk of trouble.
